This had been on my wish-list for over a year and I was VERY excited to finally dig in. Going in I was expecting wall to wall gore and depravity and while there is certainly a lot of both, something fell flat for me. I struggled with the writing style in this. It felt disjointed and as a result I found it difficult to stay focused on what I was reading.
Theatrically, I should of loved this. A classic Splatterpunk; totally gross, horrific and disgusting with a revenge story. I can’t quite pin down what exactly didn’t work for me here but it personally missed the mark. Still plan on reading other titles from Beauregard, I think this one just wasn’t for me.
