The film revolves around the wedding of Piotr (Itay Tiran - Afterthough, Forgiveness) and Zaneta ( Agnieszka Zulewska - Chemo, Sanctuary) where the night before Piotr finds a skeleton on the grounds where the wedding is being held. After falling into some watery mud slush Piotr wakes up in a car on the morning of his wedding. The day begins perfectly the guests arrive, the vows are read and the part is about to begin. However Piotr begins to see the spirit of a young woman named Hana wondering around the group who we find out is the spirit of the body he saw the night previous. As the night turns into a drunken flurry Piotr starts to become unhinged which starts a chain reaction of Hana's possession of him.
There is not much else happening in Demon in all honesty, it dragged from beginning to end and the high points couldn't even get off the ground. This is a shame, as the idea for the film is an interesting one. This isn't me saying that every ghost story or possession story needs to be in your face or full of jump scares as i am the first to admit a more subdued ghost story is a better story, however i would have liked the film to have that little added bit of terror. The Devil's Business is a perfect example of how atmosphere can cause terror, but Demon for me just lacked that special little something to push it that little bit further.
