As I mentioned, it takes a while before the deaths in the film start happening. And there’s also very few characters in the film, so the body count isn’t high – which wouldn’t be a problem if it felt like anything was actually happening in between them. I can at least say that the few deaths that do happen are good, the first one that occurs being my favourite. Furthermore, whilst the film was overall quite boring, there were a few moments that (unintentionally, I presume) made me laugh. There’s something about the cheesiness of an 80s film like this that can provide a lot of humour even from the simple things, like some of the over-the-top horror music used in situations that don’t call for it. And if you want to challenge yourself, just watch the last 5 minutes and try not to at least chuckle.
There’s not a lot else to say about this film, but it’s at least a mediocre slasher and it has its funny moments. It may have benefitted from adding a few more characters to kill off to fill the time, and would definitely be more enjoyable if it didn’t take so long to get to the action. The pacing is the biggest problem. However, if you like pretty shots of nature, this may be the film for you – but it still wouldn’t require a second viewing. Once is probably enough.
